Staff and students at Rosewood Public School conducted a small, solemn service to commemorate Remembrance Day on Thursday 11 November.
The service was conducted by the students, and each of them read very well and did the school and their families proud. All students wore brand new embroidered shirts and ties and looked extremely smart.
Due to Covid restrictions, the school was unable to attend the Tumbarumba service, which disappointed them all. This also meant that the service had to take place on school grounds instead of the usual location of Rosewood Memorial Park and no guests from the community were allowed to attend. Despite that, every student understood the importance of remembering those who sacrificed their lives in World War One, and other conflicts that followed, and the significance of Remembrance Day.
